What is your opportunity?
As Director, Enterprise Model Risk Management (EMRM), you will supervise a team to work in close proximity with model stakeholders in order to validate mathematical models used by RBC in the area of IFRS9 credit loss models. You will be in a leadership role to oversee model reviews and conduct resource planning and project planning to be able to deliver quality reviews on time.
What will you do?
Provide effective challenge to all the models to ensure the model is conceptually sound, consistent with industry and regulatory requirements.
Act as a trusted advisor to provide model governance support and education to model developers in this area and users to ensure the models are in compliance.
Ensure team members have a proper understanding and documentation of the models' business purpose and context and will facilitate RBC compliance with regulatory policies, guidelines, and procedures on model risk.
Provide coaching and support for the members in the team.
What do you need to succeed?
Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as physics, math, engineering, computer science, statistics, finance or financial engineering.
Expert in quantitative modelling or statistical modelling with good analytical and critical thinking skills
Expert in credit modeling ( PD, LGD, EAD, ECL)
Expert in programming languages (Python, SAS)
5+ year's experience in model development or validation in IFRS9 models.
