Groupe Marcelle is currently looking for a Director, Engineering & Maintenance for a permanent full-time position.
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Director of Engineering & Maintenance is responsible for the performance, reliability, and development of the organization's technical assets (equipment, buildings, auxiliary services).
They oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, lead engineering and technical investment projects, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE
Lead the maintenance team (supervisor, engineers, mechanics, building technician) and ensure operational continuity
Define and develop the preventive maintenance program for all buildings
Plan and execute technical projects for production facilities (mainly building 9200): new equipment, renovations, facility modifications
Participate in the integration of new technologies related to operational transformation
Work closely with production, technical operations, and project teams to achieve production goals
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
Manage continuous improvement processes in the plant (LEAN, 5S, etc.) with participation from various departments
Contribute to budget planning and investment prioritization
Monitor budgets and control costs
WE WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE
University degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
At least 10 years of experience in a similar role in technical/manufacturing management
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams (supervisors, engineers, technicians, mechanics)
Experience managing technical projects and industrial investments
Knowledge of manufacturing operations in a regulated environment, ideally in the pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetics industry
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (JD Edwards, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Bilingual (French and English), as you will collaborate with suppliers and partners across Canada and internationally
Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers (asset)
Experience in a unionized environment (asset)
