The Director works in close partnership with the Medical Lead, Older Adults as part of the dyad for operational leadership of the Older Adult Rehabilitation programs and services within the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital (GRH). A leadership role at the GRH accountable for leading an operational team in the planning and delivery of programs and services in supporting the vision, mission and operational plan of Alberta Health Services (AHS). Responsible for both inpatient and outpatient Older Adult Rehabilitation programs, Social Work Services, Speech Language Pathology, Recreation Therapy, Volunteer and Aquatics Services, administrative support staff supporting the Care of the Elderly and older adult Medicine Physician groups. In addition, other programs include responsibility for GRH Arts in Rehab. Provides direct support and expert counsel to the Senior Operating Officer, GRH and senior leadership on all aspects within the assigned portfolio. This position establishes and maintains positive relationships with key local, provincial and national representatives relating to older adults, AHS Seniors Health and Continuing Care, community-based seniors\' services and other stakeholders as required.

Required Qualifications:

A Master\'s degree in a health care discipline, health services, or business administration is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of management with progressive to senior management experience in a health care setting: Knowledge of management/leadership processes. Knowledge of the Edmonton Zone mission and directions. Ability to envision progressive patient care services. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and promote teamwork. Effective fiscal management skills. Proactive in developing and implementing effective strategies to resolve issues. Effective change management expertise.
