This position is available at any our office locations, and will report to the Vice President, Talent and Employee Experience.




About the role




What you’ll do here:

  • Lead and mentor a team of DEI and Mental Health and Wellness experts across multiple locations while keeping them engaged
  • Lead the design and implementation of Intact’s DEI and Wellness strategies, as well as action and communications plans in Canada
  • Collaborate with and influence internal stakeholders to strengthen, operationalize, scale, and execute DEI and Wellness initiatives
  • Work closely with the Chair and DEI Council members to support their mandate
  • Oversee strategy and effectiveness of our Employee Networks and learning programs
  • Act as an advisor on employee relations, as well as facilities and technology initiatives
  • Provide consultation and support to senior leaders in helping them embrace the Intact’s DEI, Mental Health and overall Wellness strategies
  • Partner with:
    • People Analytics team to develop and analyze metrics for measuring progress and effectiveness of DEI and Wellness strategies
    • Environmental, Social and Governance team to support their initiatives
    • Colleagues in U.K., Ireland, Hong Kong and U.S . to enhance the employee experience internationally





Qualifications




What you bring to the table:
  • 10+ years of experience designing and implementing successful DE&I strategies
  • Previous experience delivering on large scale business initiatives in a corporate environment
  • Ability to challenge and inspire team members and partners to achieve DEI results; clear understanding of business operations and DEI priorities, and able to articulate them to audiences within and outside the organization
  • Advanced relationship-management experience and consulting skills
  • Superior ability to influence, lead, engage and build consensus across various levels of leaders, as well as handle complex DEI issues with discretion, self-awareness and sound judgment
  • Deep care for people, strong interpersonal skills and an ability to inspire and mobilize team and colleagues
  • Confidence, maturity, and credibility to communicate and facilitate in a clear and compelling manner at all levels of the organization
  • Evidence of developing and implementing industry-leading best practices
  • Strong analytics skills
  • Bilingualism (French/English) a valuable asset
  • Business, human resource, diversity and inclusion studies or other combination of relevant education and experience
