What you\'ll be doing

As a Director \xe2\x80\x93 Debit Product Owner & Vendor Management, you will be accountable for the processing of debit payments which includes managing relationships with payment networks and vendors. This role requires a strong understanding of the current solution, active management of the product initiatives roadmap as well as contract and network rules compliance. You will have the oversight on daily operational issues associated with payments processing and vendor operations. You will also represent CIBC in front of Visa and Interac, our preferred payment networks for debit.

How you\'ll succeed

Payments processing experience \xe2\x80\x93 Strong understanding of the debit card ecosystem which includes end-to-end payments processing value chain. From payments origination to settlement to fraud controls, a detailed understanding is ideal as we have a customized technology which adds extra complexity in current state. You will lead product innovation and improvement initiatives, which includes budgeting and execution. You will create and own a roadmap to help drive strategic investments.

Third party and vendor management \xe2\x80\x93 Strong understanding of Visa and Interac payment networks and their rules. You will also be the key relationship manager for vendors supporting the debit card portfolio. You will lead contract negotiation and provide oversight on all operational activities associated with vendors. You will also ensure network interoperability and compliance.

Ability to execute in a matrix organization \xe2\x80\x93 You understand matrix structure and how to obtain buy-in from functional partners across the organization, including senior level audience. You have experience managing cross-functional teams and are able to drive results through impact and influence.
