Job Description

As the Director, Data Services Delivery you are a leader within the Data Services division within People Corporation and you will be responsible for driving the implementation of the enterprise data services, data products, data integrations as well as ensuring data governance, and maximizing the value of data assets to drive business growth. Your role will involve supporting the Data Services teams in delivering Data Solutions throughout People Corporation. To achieve this, you will work closely with data engineering, data operations, data architecture, business intelligence, data governance, data quality teams and in concert with the Risk Management organization.

The Director, Data Services Delivery will:

Oversee the implementation of data services that align with business objectives, including scope, quality and process. Oversee end to end delivery of data services initiatives for example data pipelines, analytics services and AIGenAIAgentAIML implementations. Develop initiative timelines, budget estimates, resource plans and identify risks that could impact data services initiatives. Build and maintain collaborative relationships within the data services team and with business unit teams. Ensure data services safeguards, controls and standards are maintained and upheld in all data services initiatives. Support the development and compliance to data governance policies, maintaining data integrity, quality, and security. Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal data policies in coordination with the Risk and Privacy Organizations. Manage the design, implementation, and operation of scalable and secure data infrastructure. Supervise use of cloud-based and on-premises data solutions for operational efficiency. Support delivery of reliable system integrations within the Data Services technology domain. Collaborate with senior leadership in support of data services delivery services within the organization. Work with Corporate Functions, Solution Areas, and Client Segments to maximize data utilization. Establish and implement risk mitigation strategies for data security, privacy, and compliance. Ensure robust data resilience and disaster recovery plans for solutions delivered by the Data Services function. Oversee adherence to data compliance, security, and governance policies by Engineering and Operations teams.

To be successful as a Director, Data Services Delivery with People Corporation, you will need:

A degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field--or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Azure, Power BI, and cloud data platforms such as Databricks. At least 10 years of experience providing leadership in data services, including technical and delivery oversight of data conversion, integration, business intelligence, and incident management. People Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, develop, and guide others. Communicates with clarity, earns team commitment, and serves as a role model for values and best practices. Experience working with Azure Data Technologies and Cloud Data Platforms such as Databricks & Snowflake Traceability experience and expertise in Project Data Program Delivery Good working knowledge of the Canadian Financial Services Industry including Insurance
