Job Title Director, Corporate Travel & Corporate Cards Solutions



Job Summary:

Manages the Corporate Travel & Corporate Cards (CT&C) department

Develops and drives the CT&C strategy. Evolve the Corporate Travel program to meet objectives and needs of the future

Accountable for corporate travel & employee corporate card program

Manages Operations, Product and Supplier Management and Policy Management for CT&C department

Optimizing and oversee the day to day operations of the corporate travel and the corporate card program from employee experience to supplier/vendor management

Responsible for data analytics and expanding on data available and to further drive analysis

Management and prioritization of all CT&C initiatives \xe2\x80\x93 planning, communication, and implementation

What will you do?

Thought Leadership:

  • Strategic leadership of Corporate Travel & Cards (CT&C) department. Lead CT&C strategy development/business case development
  • Accountable for initiatives design, planning and implementation. Develop and maintain integrated roadmap detailing project(s) work streams, resolve issues, risks and conflicts.
  • Drive and implement bold transformation initiatives to enhance employee experience and increase efficiency / cost reduction
  • Manage change and mitigation strategies to enable change/transformation
Process Transformation / Tool Management
  • Manage corporate travel, credit card tools/systems including associated data. Lead the configuration, testing, execution and change management activities associated enhancements
  • Manages and enhance tools, suppliers and processes to permit straight through processing of employee expense and travel needs
  • Automate compliance; focusing on reduction of manual process, enhance fraud detection and opportunity for cardholder growth
  • Design and deliver on process improvements to drive efficiencies and automation opportunities
Relationship Management:
  • Management of suppliers, including issue management, invoicing, contract management, issue resolution, negotiation of preferred rates, supplier accountability (SLA management)
  • Support for employee travel and card enquires/issues. Key point of contact for suppliers and escalations.
  • Primary lead for initiatives, develop communication plan, manage communications and status reporting to all stakeholders. Coordinate with all internal and external business partners, including legal, risk management, procurement, finance, technology and operations, HR, external consultants, and any other SMEs as needed
Monitoring and Compliance
  • Responsible for compliance to policy
  • Ownership and management of employee travel & corporate credit card policies and directives
  • Monitoring performance of portfolio against policy, fraud, cost savings including managing cardholder delinquencies and re-imbursement process.
Managerial Excellence:
  • Manage, coach & develop a team of professionals (direct and indirect project resources), ensuring that employees understand RBC vision, and support and reinforce targeted behaviours that contribute to RBC goals
  • Set performance goals, provide direction and leadership, foster strong commitment to teamwork and cooperation; provide constructive feedback in areas of success, opportunities and improvement. Conduct effective prioritization and capacity management
  • Drive Leadership model behaviours. Continually demonstrate commitment to and application of RBC core value behaviors: respect, teamwork, integrity, collaboration, and diversity
What will help you succeed?

5+ years in Corporate Travel management - Solid understanding Business Travel operations and industry

5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in strategy development and project management - Introducing change, designing, and implementing processes.

5+ years relationship management & supplier management

5+ years of People Management experience, recognized leadership and coaching abilities, strong team player/collaborator

Strong presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills

Demonstrated leadership ability and collaboration with peers, Sr Management and Executives

Confident decision making, mature business acumen, comfort with ambiguity

Nice to Have

Corporate Travel designation
