Director Construction - RSC

The Director of Construction \xe2\x80\x93 RSC (Retail Support Center) is responsible for managing all non-retail real-estate projects and maintenance related to RSC\xe2\x80\x99s or CFC\xe2\x80\x99s production kitchens and spokes including construction renovation and maintenance.

The National Director of RSC maintenance is responsible to manage all non retail real-estate projects and maintenance related to RSCs or CFCs production kitchens and spokes including construction renovation and maintenance.

\xc2\xb7 Working with operations ensure s we keep assets in a safe and efficient condition in tight collaboration with operations through each facility leads.

• Working with Risk Management maintain the statement of values for owed properties and equipment

• In conjunction with National Procurement, participate in evaluating new equipment and/or related technology, advancement that will contribute to Sobeys corporate initiative of reduction in our carbon footprint

\xc2\xb7 Working with operations, maintain all processes relating to RSC maintenance like emergency process, life cycle assessment, refrigeration and systems maintenance standards, etc

The specific accountabilities are as follow:

• Create a coaching and development culture for all employees

• Manage direct reports including: selection, orientation, training and development, performance management, succession planning and compensation

• Manage National capital expenditures in conjunction with facility leads

• Direct all design and construction activities

• Provide project budgeting and scope of work

• Manage and direct geo tech and environmental requirements

• Complete contract and negotiation administration

• Direct National RSC building maintenance standards and specs

• Implementation of strategic plan and RSC development

• Direct National equipment procurement, storage and shipping

• Maintain cost control system

• Site development/planning & design

• As required by Real Estate, visit new sites, assess and report back to Real Estate any issues that could potentially impact project development costs

• Provide final review and sign off on all project progress draws

• Control capital expenditures for building maintenance and real estate projects nationally

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements

• Create and maintain National emergency process

• Create and maintain life cycle assessment tool for buildings and equipment

• Prepare and maintain analytical assessment of building condition, equipment life cycle, maintenance and project capital, maintenance expenses, etc.

• Manage the implementation of sustainable initiative to support national ESG goals

• Meet with internal clients such as operations food safety, health and safety, loss prevention to support operations.

• Prepare and manage capital appropriation request

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
