Position Overview

- As a member of the senior leadership team, this role models the Centre's values within a mindset for delivering health equity and service excellence. A collaborative leader, the Director of Community Health Services inspires and guides all aspects of the position's portfolio including human resources, programs and services, and financial / data management.

The Director oversees Community Support Services including seniors and adults with disabilities, volunteer services, transportation, and assisted living. This position also guides and supports Community Health programs including children and youth, health promotion, systems navigation, dietitian, and psychotherapy services. In addition, this role works with onsite service partners, funders, and other government, service, and community stakeholders.

This full-time leadership role based on 37.5 hours per week. Salary range is $85,839 - $100,991 per year. Group insurance benefits available first day of work with generous vacation and other paid time entitlements. We are a HOOPP employer.

What Do you Bring to Our Leadership Team?

*Degree in social services, health sciences or healthcare management. Additional leadership training an asset. Regulated professional preferred.

*Three (3) years of community program management in a non-profit organization ideally in a healthcare setting.

*As a community healthcare champion, our successful candidate is a demonstrated visionary and strategic leader, a strong communicator and an active listener.

*Demonstrated human resources management skills including managing a variety of functional areas, inter-professional teams, team building, team planning, facilitation, performance evaluation, conflict resolution and problem solving.

*Proven administrative skills including project management, health records management, developing and maintaining budgets, completing reports, operational planning, policy and procedure development, and grant application preparation.

*Strong software, social and other media relations skillset, experience with EMRs and adaptable to emerging AI technology.

- The West Elgin Community Health Centre has been serving rural communities for 30 years, focusing on improving the health and wellbeing of people and communities. The Centre provides primary health care, illness prevention, and health promotion services as well as community programs primarily to the residents of Dutton Dunwich and West Elgin municipalities, with diabetes services available at multiple locations in Elgin County.
