What would you be accountable for?Leadership and development of internal and external corporate communications, brand, media relations, and community investment and sponsorship teams. This includes strategic planning, management strategies and execution plans supporting business goals and objectives, crisis communications training and process, ensuring efficiency readiness and effective response.Work collaboratively across key internal and external stakeholders to develop ENMAX\xe2\x80\x99s overall communication strategy that aligns with its strategic vision, objectives and priorities and ensure a clear, consistent message that is on brand across all platforms.Identify and mitigate potential sensitive reputational issues and provide sound strategic communications advice in accordance with corporate priorities.Develop and empower direct reports and team members to achieve success, emphasizing teamwork, collaboration and high performance.Track and measure the effectiveness of all brand and external communication and community initiatives.Lead and manage the production of creative brand advertising, including but not limited to corporate sponsorship and advertisements.Develop and execute proactive media management strategies (social and traditional), including preparing key messages and background documents for senior leadership and prep them for key media interviews.Keep up to date with industry and technological changes that impact the business and brand.Actively manage contractual and working relationships with external agencies and vendors.Based on the brand strategy, focus on defining which opportunities to focus on and develop for market and measure the return of investment based on key performance indicators to ensure strategic goals have been met.Develop strategies and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners to ensure community and sponsorship investments are meeting relevant needs, are aligned to ENMAX business objectives, and are enhancing corporate image and reputation.Develop and guide strategy and processes to report on community and sponsorship investment in the marketplace and align to corporate responsibility strategy and reporting processes.Collaborate with internal business unit stakeholders to support in aligning their objectives to effective brand, advertising, media, community investment and sponsorship initiatives.Education:Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related post-secondary designationIf you have anything more, we don\xe2\x80\x99t necessarily need it, but we love that you have it and want to know about it, also a PR Certification/Designation is definitely considered an assetQualifications and Experience: Let\xe2\x80\x99s be honest, you\xe2\x80\x99re going to look at the first few bullets and then move onto the next section so let\xe2\x80\x99s keep it simple.10+ years of experience in leadership roles related to public affairs, external communications and brand would be a good starting point for what we\xe2\x80\x99re looking forExperience working for an agency is preferred but not necessary and knowledge of the electricity industry is also considered an assetExperience developing and implementing strategic corporate communications plans coordinated across multiple internal and external audiencesSeasoned media spokesperson and public representative who has an established media presence with contacts across the industryIn-depth understanding of communications measurement, including social mediaCompetencies:Provide strong leadership and communications expertise that advances brand, community and external communicationsStrong motivator, both within the team and across the organization, empowering people to learn and growValue a diverse and inclusive culture and models this in your interactions with othersStrategic thinker who possesses excellent writing skills and manages communications with transparency and balanceDesire and comfort working in an extremely fast-paced organization with very high expectations for communications excellenceAbility to maintain strict confidentiality and act with tact, integrity, and emotional intelligence.Did we mention the ENMAX Advantage?We offer competitive compensation including a comprehensive flexible benefits program, non-downtown location that includes great building amenities such as free onsite fitness facility with programming geared to employee\xe2\x80\x99s needs, onsite childcare centre (upon availability, offered from our ENMAX Place location 141 \xe2\x80\x93 50 Ave. SE), free parking and much more.
