Communications:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive internal and external communication strategies for PEI BioAlliance and Emergence.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and BioAlliance members to generate innovative concepts and compelling content for various marketing channels.
  • Craft engaging communication materials, including print, web content, press releases, reports, and presentations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the media, ensuring consistent and proactive engagement.
  • Drive social media and blog campaigns to enhance organizational visibility and sectoral exposure.
  • Manage the editorial direction and production of all organizational publications.
  • Lead sectoral-related marketing initiatives and special events.
Marketing:
  • Design and execute marketing communications across diverse platforms, including advertising, social media, sponsorships, and events.
  • Oversee the organization\xe2\x80\x99s website and ensure its alignment with branding objectives.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships within the bio-cluster to elevate brand presence and market PEI as a prime destination for bioscience endeavours.
  • Implement marketing initiatives to enhance organizational positioning and sectoral awareness.
  • Stay current of online trends and best practices to optimize digital marketing efforts.
  • Coordinate large-scale events and conferences to showcase organizational achievements and promote networking opportunities.
Relationship Management:
  • Partner closely with the CEO and Director of Incubator Services to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of strategic communications and marketing endeavours.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with BioAlliance members, stakeholders, and media representatives.
  • Manage external relationships with provincial and federal counterparts and other key stakeholders to amplify organizational impact.

Working Environment:
  • Work is typically performed in an office environment. It requires extended periods of sitting, computer use, and mental attention to detail.
  • Standard office hours are Monday-Friday.
  • Occasional evenings may be required to attend special events.
  • Periodic travel is required (local, regional, national, and international).
Compensation and Benefits:
$80,000 - $100,000 per annum (subject to qualifications and experience)
RRSP, Health and Life InsuranceQualifications:
  • Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or public relations.
  • Proven expertise in strategic planning and execution of marketing communications initiatives.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in digital communications tools and platforms.
  • Proficiency in English is required, while proficiency in French is considered an asset.
  • A valid Canadian driver\'s license, access to reliable personal transportation, and a valid passport.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada (must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent or temporary resident of Canada, or have a valid Canadian work permit).
