Job Description

A strategic thinker and strong people leader who aligns with Fifth Element Group's core values, The Director, Business Development will be a member of the executive team and will be responsible for the overall leadership of Sales and Marketing Solutions. You will serve a multi-faceted role that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to guide multiple teams to deliver successful programs, establishing enduring Client relationships, while ensuring profitability on each program.
Help grow and develop a new account team to enable them to add more value to each of our clients while fostering employee growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Find, produce and win business through organic reach and RFP opportunities. Support, lead and inspire the growth of a new accounts and marketing team Understand our clients' key strategies and business goals. Provide guidance and counsel to our clients for the most effective and efficient marketing programs to help support their business goals. Develop, foster and grow valuable relationships with our clients. Ensure client's KPIs are achieved and measured on every program. Lead Business Development opportunities, both organic and new, ensuring there is a pipeline of opportunities that enables us to exceed our targets. You will be supported by Fifth's President in this role. Ensure Fifth's business goals are achieved by developing sustained relationships with our clients, driving organic and new business growth while ensuring profitability. As an executive member of the team, interact and work with other leaders to create a positive and engaging culture. Active work in the field to support our larger implementation team, assess execution, gather insights and implement business enhancements Analyze business performance and deliver insights to advance clients' businesses. Show up in the organization and externally as a face of company, communicating as a unified voice with the rest of the leadership.

Core Competencies



Minimum 6 years in team leadership/management in the Sales/Marketing field (agency side) Extensive experience and expertise in experiential, events and digital marketing. Strong sense of accountability and independence. Strong leadership characteristics that translate to both clients and internal team. Mentorship and coaching skills to build a work environment that yields strong individual and team performance. Ability to penetrate client organizations to establish close contacts at all levels and within multiple business units. Development of a new account team and client accounts with minimal oversight. Ability to grow revenue to meet and exceed goals and experience managing overall P&L. Clear communication skills, both verbal, presentation and written. Flexibility and measured temperament are critical to success, must be able to handle pressure, timetables and client challenges well. Exhibit a proactive and energetic approach to opportunities and capable of problem resolution. Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization (internal as well as with clients), fostering strong cross-functional teamwork and results. Strategic thinking ability with balanced analytical and creative approach.

Skilled at mentoring, managing, and delegating to a team of skilled professionals. Ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks with flawless delivery. Proficient in working with forecasts, revenue models and financial models. Technologically and digitally savvy.

Revenue and Margin targets, based on our monthly financial results Clients and team satisfaction and retention, based on feedback Clients' KPIs, based on unique measurements for each client Annual strategic marketing initiatives, as measured in accordance with Fifth's annual plan.
