Job Overview
The Director of Childcare overseeing the educational and administrative functions within a university setting. This position is responsible for ensuring that students receive the highest quality of care and support throughout their academic journey. The Director will collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to create a nurturing environment that promotes success and personal growth.
Duties
Develop and implement programs that enhance student well-being and academic performance.
Oversee the administration of student services, ensuring they align with institutional goals.
Collaborate with faculty to integrate care initiatives into the curriculum.
Provide leadership in the development of policies and procedures related to student care.
Serve as a liaison between students, parents, and staff to address concerns and improve services.
Conduct assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of care programs and make necessary adjustments.
Facilitate training sessions for staff on best practices in student care and support.
Skills
Proven experience in higher education teaching, demonstrating an understanding of academic environments.
Strong background in education administration with a focus on student services.
Familiarity with childcare operations and experience working within a school age setting.
Exceptional teaching skills, capable of engaging students effectively in various contexts.
Experience working with a team of 20 staff and 120 children. Organize and plan the schedules and newsletters.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 14 months
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
