Marsh McLennan is seeking a Director of Asset Management to join the Service Management team.

What you can expect:

As the Director of Asset Management, you will be oversee the teams responsible for managing the hardware and software assets for our 85,000+ colleagues in over 130 countries globally. In this critical role you will optimize the use of IT assets to maximize value for the firm.

We will count on you to:

Lead efforts to identify and capture all configuration items, relationships, and dependencies within the CMDB, ensuring a holistic view of our IT landscape.

Establish CMDB-related KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of configuration management processes and track ongoing improvements.

Monitor and maintain data accuracy within the CMDB, performing regular audits and coordinating corrective actions when discrepancies arise.

Ensure compliance risks are identified and resolved.

Approve suppliers/vendors based on identified cost savings in support of IT requirements.

Lead software planning, retirement, repurposing and compliance with vendor contracts.

Oversee software purchasing and licensing, audit/verification activities, and candidate licenses; due for harvesting from retired or repurposed assets.

Approve cost savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing and services; ensures non-compliant software issues are addressed; collaborates with IT leaders.

Request metrics/reports to build on goals and objectives.

Establish and communicate policies and procedures; advise organization on standards for SW process and approvals; deliver plans to address/resolve gaps with the business\'s and IT staff.

Lead the budget process for annual budget planning related to Hardware and Software.

Align technology with business objectives, improving service delivery, and ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on our IT assets and services.

What you\'ll need to have:

IT software and hardware asset management experience

CMDB experience

Strong financial acumen and corporate budgeting experience

Ability to understand technical concepts and how they relate and interact
