As a director, Alternatives Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in representing our alternative investment strategies to financial advisors and key stakeholders. You'll act as a strategic partner, translating complex investment concepts into actionable insights, and helping clients integrate private market solutions into diversified portfolios.

Your deep product knowledge, communication skills, and client-centric mindset will be essential in driving engagement, education, and growth across our advisor network.



The incumbent in this function will be required to travel .



Your Role:



Represent the firm's alternative investment strategies in client meetings, webinars, and industry events. Partner with wholesalers and regional sales teams to develop and execute sales strategies.. Act as a trusted consultant to financial advisors, helping them integrate private market solutions into diversified portfolios.Respond to complex advisor inquiries and

support due diligence processes

. Collaborate with product, portfolio management, and marketing teams to

develop sales tools and market positioning

materials. Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments to ensure competitive advantage. Act as an ambassador of National Bank Investments - Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and represent the firm as a subject-matter expert

of our alternative solutions across all our channels.

Prerequisites:




Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. 7 years of experience in

investment sales, wholesaling, or product specialist roles

. Strong knowledge of

alternative investments

(private credit, private equity, hedge funds, real assets, liquid alts). Exceptional

presentation and relationship-building skills

. Proven ability to

influence, educate, and inspire advisors

. Bilingual (English/French). Professional designations such as

CFA, CAIA, or CIM

are strong pluses.
