to lead our data engineering and data science functions. This role will be responsible for shaping and executing the enterprise analytics strategy, overseeing the development of scalable data platforms, and driving impactful data science initiatives across the business.
Leadership & Strategy: Define and execute the vision, roadmap, and strategy for the advanced analytics function, encompassing both data engineering and data science
Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of data engineers and data scientists
Partner with business executives and functional leaders to identify high-impact opportunities for data and AI across the enterprise
Strategic Data Thinking: Translate complex analytics concepts into clear, actionable insights that drive executive decision-making
Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams, helping executives understand what's possible with data, while guiding analytics teams toward practical and impactful solutions
Data Platform/Data Engineering: Guide the architecture and development of enterprise data platforms, pipelines, and governance processes
Ensure scalable, secure, and reliable data infrastructure to support the advanced analytics and business intelligence functions
Data Science & AI Oversee the end-to-end development of predictive models, machine learning pipelines, and advanced analytics solutions
Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to embed AI/ML and LLM-powered features into core business processes and customer-facing products
Stay ahead of emerging AI trends and technologies and assess their applicability to business needs
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in analytics, including 5+ years leading data teams (data science and/or data engineering)
Deep knowledge of modern data architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and data science methodologies
Experience with Databricks is a plus
Strong programming skills in Python, with experience using libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and matplotlib for data analysis, modeling, and visualization
Previous experience in managing complex analytical and data science projects and portfolios to deliver business outcomes
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence executives and lead through change.
Proven track record of solving complex problems, thinking creatively, and using data to tell a story to influence senior level stakeholders.
Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics) preferred.
Compensation
-
$125,000-$145,000 CAD
We believe in building a compensation structure that reflects the comparable market pay rate for positions at companies similar in size, revenue generation and geographic location; in addition to individual factors including seniority, performance-based merit, education/training, and experience related to scope of responsibilities.
Paid Time Off:
Accrues each pay period, totaling 15 days annually, plus nine paid holidays.
FAM Trip:
After one year of employment, eligible for one three-to-four-night stay per calendar year in an Inspirato property, subject to availability and program terms.
