Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Market Development
Drive the organization's growth by building strategic relationships and identifying new market opportunities.
Enhance the company's market presence through insight-driven business development strategies.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to guide decision-making.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and customers.
Partner closely with the sales organization to align business development strategies with sales initiatives.
Leverage competitive intelligence and market analysis to define sustainable growth strategies.
Identify and evaluate potential merger and acquisition opportunities that align with broader corporate goals.
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts to anticipate opportunities and risks.
Product Design & Development Leadership
Direct, manage, and mentor a team of product and technical designers in the creation of new products and product lines.
Drive the full product development cycle -- from concept through completion -- ensuring that creative vision and business needs are met.
Create design solutions that reflect both brand identity and strategic business direction.
Provide creative insight and innovative approaches to meet evolving market demands.
Develop and manage timelines for product development, production specifications, and sample approvals.
Collaborate with merchandising to understand customer needs and margin goals, recommending cost-effective alternatives without compromising design integrity.
Lead cost research for designated product categories and oversee vendor performance analysis.
Deliver actionable, customer-based insights to global sourcing teams to enhance sourcing strategies.
Identify and address potential development, safety, quality, or cost concerns during sampling and pre-production phases.
Execute design modifications as needed to ensure product quality, performance, and brand consistency.
Skills Needed:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Product Design, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of progressive experience in business development, product management, or design leadership.
Proven success leading cross-functional teams in both strategic growth and product innovation initiatives.
Strong analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Experience working with global sourcing, merchandising, or manufacturing teams preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
