Reporting to and working closely with the Deans, the Director, Academic Operations provides strategic leadership to the schools to achieve goals as outlined in NAIT\'s strategic plan. The Director, Academic Operations is a strong advocate for the school and will assist in the development, enhancement and cultivation of collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders. As a senior member of the schools\' leadership teams, this position contributes to the schools through participation in the development of business plans, administrative strategies, financial plans, capital/facility planning and performance objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for supporting the Dean\'s Office with respect to budgeting, strategic enrolment management, program viability, campus planning, as well as capital & space planning at the school level.

  • Monitor, analyze and summarize a variety data plus prepare reports and recommendations.
  • Coordinates consistency across schools with respect to budget process, policy and process development, section/enrolment management, space planning, capital equipment and renovation investments and staff planning processes.
  • Collaborate with Financial Services staff to ensure school budgets are submitted according to established process/timelines as well as coordinate the submission of quarterly budget forecasts.
  • Cooperate with Registrar\'s Office staff to ensure scheduling process, timelines, guiding principles align with school operations. Support a shared strategic enrolment management approach (recruiting, admissions, establishing enrolment targets).
  • Coordinate with Marketing & Communications department to ensure alignment between school direction and priorities on brand development, advertising, and website presence.
  • Support the new program development process with respect to operational budget, tuition setting, determining viable enrolment levels, and staffing impacts.

Qualifications
  • Related post-secondary education or industry designation required
  • Minimum 5 years of significant budget oversight experience
  • Senior leadership and administrative experience in a post-secondary education setting
  • Equivalencies may be considered.
Remuneration: $4,735.60 - $6,273.98 biweekly. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience and will include a comprehensive benefit package.
