Broadband Maintenance Inc. is a Telecommunication Construction Company in the Ottawa and surrounding area. We are actively seeking experienced Directional Drillers to join our team. • Operation and maintenance of drilling/bore equipment & locator (Ditch Witch, Vermeer)
• Read and interpret project plans, diagrams and locates
• Performs work including, drilling and or box locating, plus installation of conduits for various cables
• Able to lead, coach and mentor new employees
• Work under customers? standards related to horizontal directional drilling; adhering to site specific rules and regulations
• Maintains and records accurate daily drilling activities
• Performs all other duties as required by supervisor/manager

Job Qualifications:

• Hold valid Ontario G drivers license for at least 3 years, with a clean abstract (AZ/DZ license is a strong asset)
• Ability to read plans and locates is a must
• Experienced preferred with minimum 2 years directional drilling experience
• Experience in operation of heavy machinery
• Relevant telecom experience or construction experience preferred
• Knowledge of fibre and conduit installation an asset
• Ability to work in varied outdoor weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 + pounds
