Relevant du directeur general, Canada, nous recherchons un leader financier experimente, dote d'un esprit commercial et strategique, pour superviser la performance financiere et les operations de la division Amerique du Nord. En tant que Directeur(-trice) principal(e) des finances, vous agirez a titre de partenaire cle du directeur general et de l'equipe de direction nord-americaine. Ce poste de directeur(-trice) principal(e) des finances collaborera egalement etroitement avec le Chef des operations financieres et la fonction finances globale. Responsabilites du poste :
Assurer la supervision financiere de la division nord-americaine et garantir la production de rapports mensuels precis et ponctuels a l'echelle globale.
Collaborer avec le directeur de la planification et du developpement financiers pour produire une planification financiere a long terme, une modelisation de scenarios et une analyse des investissements afin de soutenir les initiatives de croissance.
Superviser la preparation des comptes de gestion mensuels et du rapport mensuel du conseil d'administration pour l'entite canadienne, y compris l'analyse des ecarts par rapport au budget et a la performance.
Planifier, diriger et coordonner toutes les fonctions operationnelles liees a la comptabilite, y compris la gestion des comptes clients, des comptes fournisseurs et des approvisionnements.
Assurer des controles financiers rigoureux et le respect des politiques internes, des reglementations externes et des exigences d'audit, tout en identifiant les opportunites d'amelioration.
Diriger le processus d'audit externe annuel et soutenir les audits et les declarations fiscales, y compris la supervision de la preparation du rapport RS&DE.
Collaborer avec le directeur de la planification et du developpement financiers a l'etablissement et au suivi du budget annuel de la division.
Diriger les previsions de tresorerie, la gestion quotidienne de la tresorerie et l'optimisation du fonds de roulement pour la division nord-americaine.
Competences et qualifications :
Comptable professionnel agree (CPA) avec une solide formation en comptabilite technique et une experience etablie a un poste de direction financiere.
Experience etablie en planification financiere strategique, en partenariat commercial et en amelioration operationnelle.
Experience en operations multisites ou internationales, idealement dans les secteurs des sciences de la vie, des biotechnologies ou des CRO.
Approche pratique avec une comprehension approfondie du cycle comptable complet et des systemes financiers.
Maitrise avancee d'Excel et de MS Office; une experience avec NetSuite ou des systemes ERP similaires est fortement souhaitee.
Solides competences analytiques, souci du detail et capacite a gerer des priorites concurrentes dans des delais serres.
Excellentes competences interpersonnelles et de communication, avec un esprit oriente client.

About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Finance team in the North American division. This role is based across our Montreal and Levis offices, with regular travel required between both locations.
Reporting to the General Manager, Canada, we are seeking an experienced, commercially minded, and strategic finance leader to oversee the financial performance and operations of the North American division. As Senior Director of Finance, you will act as a key partner to the General Manager and the North American senior leadership team driving profitable growth, financial analysis, forecasting and managing cash flow, owning the balance sheet, and leading a high-performing finance team.
This Senior Director of Finance role will also collaborate closely with the CFO and global Finance function- bilingual fluency in French and English is essential to align with Group strategies, drive operational excellence, and support long-term business objectives. Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and gravitas are critical for success.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide financial oversight of the North American division, ensuring accurate and timely monthly reporting to the global Group.
Collaborate with the Director of Financial Planning & Development to produce long-term financial planning, scenario modelling, and investment analysis to support growth initiatives.
Oversee the preparation of the monthly management accounts and monthly board report for the Canadian entity, including variance analysis against budget and performance.
Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting-related operational functions including management of accounts receivable, accounts payable and procurement functions.
Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements, while also identifying opportunities for improvement.
Lead the annual external audit process and support tax audits and filings, including overseeing the preparation of the SRED report.
Collaborate with the Director of Financial Planning & Development in establishing and monitoring the annual budget for the division.
Lead cash flow forecasting, daily cash management, and working capital optimization for the North American Division.
Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified accountant (CPA) with a strong technical accounting background and demonstrable experience in a senior finance leadership role.
Demonstrated success in strategic financial planning, business partnering, and driving operational improvements.
Experience in multi-site or international operations, ideally within the life sciences, biotech, or CRO sectors.
Hands-on approach with deep understanding of the full accounting cycle and financial systems.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Office; experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service-oriented mindset.
