En tant que Directeur de la Maintenance, vous devrez peut-etre travailler les week-ends, les jours feries et d'autres heures en dehors de votre horaire normal pour repondre aux besoins du service.
Job description
The Director of Maintenance has the overall responsibility for managing maintenance operations, loss prevention and security of the property. The Director of Maintenance will manage daily activities, communicate goals, implement schedules and follow proper procurement procedures to ensure engineering associates have the tools and supplies needed to carry out their job duties. As the Director of Maintenance you will train engineering associates to comply with corporate, local, provincial and federal laws. As the Director of Maintenance you may be required to work weekends, holidays and other hours outside your normal schedule in support of the department's needs.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the ordering of supplies, tools and equipment and maintaining proper par levels to corporate department standards.
This role will support, maintain and implement the department's preventive maintenance program.
Assists with accurate accounting practices in regards to payroll and expenditures of the department.
Assists in the training of associates to ensure compliance with all corporate requirements as well as city, provincial and federal laws.
May assist with other duties as assigned and serve as "manager of duty" as required while maintaining and repairing the interior and exterior of the building and guest rooms.
As the Director of Maintenance you will be required to support all security practices to corporate standard by working with local, state and federal law enforcement. Will be required to assist in emergencies, assist guests and conduct proper incident report writing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Excellent written, verbal (French and English) and non-verbal communication skills.
This position requires college or advanced vocational training plus a minimum of 4 years facility maintenance experience including supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with automated energy management systems
Extensive electrical experience, code familiarity.
Extensive HVAC operational knowledge, certification preferred.
Must have current Pool and Spa certifications
Must possess high skill in plumbing operations and code familiarity.
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, nights and cover shifts as needed.
Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Have an insurable driving record.
First aid and first responder qualified preferred.
Must be proficient with computers, MS Excel, Word programs. Must be familiar with procurement and scheduling programs.
Proven experience managing a team of associates with different skill levels.
Possesses the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job requires ability to perform the following: carrying, lifting pushing and/or pulling items weighing up to 100-300 pounds, frequently standing up and moving about the facility, frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility, frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling. Working in loud, noisy environments, hot or cold temperatures and confined spaces. This job may require working from heights higher than 4 feet and working off ladders.
Education:
Diploma / Degree preferred in related field or advanced technical vocational training.
Experience:
A minimum of 4 + years in a similar role is required.
Track record of working collaboratively with others to achieve desired results.
Skilled in problem analysis, problem solving and decision making.
