What You'll Do
As a
Direct Technical Sales Representative - Switchgear, Microgrid & Controls
, you will:
Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities for microgrid switchgear and control solutions
Conduct prospecting activities through direct outreach, site visits, networking, and trade events
Present customized proposals and system solutions aligned with client specifications and operational goals.
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts in collaboration with technical and commercial teams.
Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Understand and articulate technical details of switchgear, control panels, PLC systems, and microgrid integration.
Partner with engineering teams to design compliant and efficient system configurations.
Review client technical specifications and ensure proposals meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.
Conduct product demonstrations and participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site commissioning support as needed.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with EPCs, end-users, and channel partners.
Provide continuous customer support before, during, and after project delivery.
Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity pipelines, and forecasting data.
Act as a trusted advisor for customers seeking energy resilience and control optimization.
Track market trends in microgrid, controls, and switchgear technologies
Identify emerging opportunities in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), distributed generation, and digital controls.
Provide feedback to leadership for product development and market positioning.
Deliver the X-FACTOR experience through excellence, expertise and extraordinary service.
What You Bring
Deep knowledge of low and medium-voltage switchgear, controls, SCADA, and microgrid integration.
Understanding of electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control logic.
Proficiency with CRM platforms.
Experience in quoting, proposal development, and technical bid review.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with excellent negotiation and problem-solving ability.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel (up to 40%) to client sites, trade shows, and partner locations.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field preferred.
5+ years of direct technical sales experience in switchgear, controls, or microgrid systems.
Proven track record of exceeding sales goals within industrial or power generation sectors.
