Responsibilities



We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will support people experiencing disability, trauma, addiction, and/ or mental health.. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:

- Support people in their daily activities to live a life that makes sense to them.

-Follow support plans created with the person to develop the personal, social, human, financial, and service asset areas.

- Support people to have a personal, clean, and safe home

- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote overall well-being

- Assist with meal preparation as needed

- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming when needed

- Administer medications as directed

- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary

Requirements



- Previous experience supporting people through a trauma informed and anti-oppressive practice.

- Able to communicate fairly and directly with person, family, colleagues, and professionals

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

-Able to complete required documentation in a thoughtful and insightful manner and submit on time.

- Dedication to ongoing learning and curiosity.

- Fluent in written and spoken English

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50-$22.06 per hour
