Job Description

Community Living & Respite Northumberland provides planning, supports and services for people with developmental disabilities. Community Participation Supports & Services are designed to assist adults to create goals, build capacity, connect and participate inclusively as a citizen within their community.

We have two (2)

Direct Support Professional contract positions

available within our:

Community Participation Supports & Services

Contracts are projected to start late July, 2025 and end March 31, 2026

These positions will provide flexible support with the hours being scheduled to best support people's goals and interests within the services we provide and the community-based activities in which they are involved.

Applicant's considered will possess a Developmental Service Worker diploma or equivalent Social Services/Human Services diploma/degree with experience working with people with developmental disabilities, knowledge of community resources and opportunities

,

the ability to understand and promote independence, facilitate and support citizenship and community inclusion. Required are current First Aid / CPR / Non Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI/CPI) certificate, access to a vehicle, a valid G license, current and acceptable Drivers abstract and a Criminal/Vulnerable Reference Check less than 6 months old.
