What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing

The Direct Investing Specialist works with our Asset Specialist team and Banking Centres as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for CIBC\xe2\x80\x99s self-directed brokerage offering. The Direct Investing Specialist is called upon to provide sales training and internal support while helping solve complex client situations. The Specialist will play an essential role in growing market share for CIBC Investor\xe2\x80\x99s Edge.

How you\xe2\x80\x99ll succeed

Collaboration and Specialization - Collaborate with banking centre resources to deliver timely and accurate information for our direct investing offer and provide subject matter expertise when called upon. You are an expert with knowledge of our key competitors, products and services, and you also are able to identify client profiles and trends in the self-directed industry and the opportunities of growth for CIBC within this space. Work with internal partners to develop plans for regional and market level support for our solutions and value proposition. The goal is to increase market share among the big 6 banks in self-directed brokerage and grow CIBC share of wallet.

Results Driven Leadership - Produce and deliver sales results while identifying gaps & opportunities. The Specialist plays an important role in identifying opportunities to increase scale within the personal banking and high value segment. Develop and maintain current knowledge of Investor\xe2\x80\x99s Edge processes, regulatory updates, policies and tools to incorporate into our virtual delivery to retail and wealth partners. Assist in delivery of educational content to retail channel with goal of increasing knowledge, improving soft skills and increasing scale. This includes conventional methods such as inbound/outbound calls, in person engagement, email delivery and virtual delivery methods.

Engagement and Communication - Work with IE product and sales teams to deliver IE mass offers and campaigns to banking centres. Specialist will help communicate 120 Day offers and platform/process enhancements. Participate in client meetings with retail and wealth partners to provide support and expertise required to acquire/retain business. Specialist will be able to assist partners negotiate pricing and benefits
