Registered Nurse (RN)
, the DCM ensures compliance with regulatory standards, promotes high-quality care, and fosters a culture of excellence in resident-centered services. This leadership role provides mentorship to staff, enhances clinical processes, and ensures efficient workflow in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Management
Provide mentorship, training, and support to nursing staff.
Assist with scheduling, recruitment, and performance evaluations.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours clinical and operational support.
Resident Care & Clinical Oversight
Oversee and develop individualized resident care plans.
Conduct assessments (InterRAI, MMSE) and participate in physician rounds.
Support infection prevention and control (IPAC) initiatives.
Work as an RN to cover the floor when necessary.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to licensing requirements and accreditation standards.
Conduct audits and quality improvement reviews.
Monitor resident health status and respond to concerns promptly.
Education & Professional Development
Provide training and support for staff on best practices in resident care.
Promote continuous learning and professional growth among the care team.
Serve on committees such as Infection Control, Pharmacy Review, and Quality Improvement.
Foster communication between residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Administrative & Management Support
Act as a resource for staff, residents, and families.
Support leadership in policy implementation and workforce planning.
Qualifications & Experience
Registered Nurse (RN), registered with NSCN (BSN preferred).
3-5 years of leadership experience in long-term care or geriatric settings.
Strong mentorship and team collaboration skills.
Knowledge of regulatory standards, quality assurance, and care planning.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHR).
Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
Work Conditions

Required to participate in on-call rotation for after-hours clinical and operational support.
Fast-paced work setting requiring critical thinking and quick decision-making.
May require working extended hours or covering shifts in urgent situations.
Regular interaction with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
