As the Director, DevSecOps you will manage a team of engineers stateside and abroad. This team is central to the reputation and trustworthiness that our clients expect. We are looking for a DevSecOps Director to be a strong collaborator creating an inclusive environment where you architect scalable technical solutions, provide technical guidance on best practices, and develop processes that support the efficient and agile software development reducing toil and engaging engineers. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • People leadership and technical management of a globally distributed team
  • Set strategic direction for the DevSecOps team, including establishing a vision, strategic objectives, and execution plans, within the framework of the overall strategic direction of the Global Product & Technology organization
  • Deliver tools to reduce toil and increase efficiency of the engineering teams
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance and expertise to members of the organization
  • Lead peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
  • Present solutions to business and technical stakeholders
  • Management of security operations and automation of security controls
  • Automate infrastructure and configuration management
  • Meet reliability and capacity requirements while managing costs
  • Plan disaster recovery drills
  • Manage On-call process and escalation policies
  • Lead Incident Management Process

  • You have 12+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
  • You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience building and leading DevSecOps/Engineering team
  • Experience designing, instrumenting, deploying, and managing large scale cloud infrastructures (AWS) as code.
  • Experience designing and developing highly scalable and resilient distributed, cloud native SaaS applications
  • Experience designing Multi-Region/Multi-AZ Architecture
  • Familiarity with security concepts and building architecture that is secure and resilient by design
  • Understanding the operational complexity of a microservice architecture
  • Experience with cloud native services (RDS, S3, VPC, EC2, ALB/NLB, IAM, etc..)
  • Experience with various database technologies and appropriate application (relational, in-memory, key-value, graph, NoSql)
  • Experience implementing chaos engineering practices
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Native Container Tools (Docker etc..)
  • Experience with Vendor Container Services (ECS, EKS)
  • Expert level knowledge of pods, nodes, deployments (blue-green, canary, rollbacks etc.), load balancers and Helm charts
  • Deploying microservices / Java REST based containers
  • Maintaining Security in a Kubernetes cluster
  • Deploying tools for container monitoring, metrics, and logging
  • Experience in either SAFe agile or Scrum or Kanban model
  • Hands-on experience with automation, orchestration, and system configuration tools (GitHub, BitBucket, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Systematic approach to problem solving
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present to business stakeholders as well as deep technical discussions with engineers
  • Strong sense of ownership, and an ability to drive results
  • At least 5 years' experience with object-oriented programming, functional programming, and data design.
  • At least 5 years' experience in developing scalable web applications and architectural standards.
  • At least 5 years' experience with Cloud technologies.
  • At least 5 years' experience utilizing DevSecOps technologies to drive Continuous Delivery

The targeted base salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Actual salary may be above or below this range based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. In addition, this position may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.
