We are searching for a Dining Room Supervisor to join our Parkland Ajax team based in Ajax, Ontario.

About the Opportunity

About You
  • Provides leadership and oversight to all dining room activities to ensure compliance to policies, procedures, and applicable legislation
  • Outlines work assignments
  • Supervises, directs, and evaluates the work of the team
  • Assists int the full recruitment process for new members of the team
  • Ensures new team members are orientated and trained on all departmental standards
  • Prepares, and monitors, plan to ensure employees are meeting standards for mandatory annual education
  • Provides ongoing training and education
  • Manages the professional development of the team
  • In consultation with Human Resources Department, manages team member issues
  • Monitors and manages performance and provides coaching
  • Completes performance and development discussions for team members
  • Ensures disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to company policy
  • Holds regular departmental meetings and team talks
  • Reviews work schedules to identify any concerns with staffing levels
  • Takes every reasonable precaution in all circumstances to ensure the health and safety of team members and all others in the workplace, including but not limited to, providing supervision, training, information, and equipment needed for employees to do their job safely
  • Performs other related duties as require
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Basics.fst Food Handlers Course, Smart Serve and/or other recognized food safety education
  • Minimum two (2) years\' experience in the food and beverage service industry
  • Previous supervisory experience in hospitality or health care foodservice
