Greeting and assisting in the seating of customers promptly, ensuring a warm and friendly welcome
Taking beverage, food and dessert orders
Serving meals to guests' tables and conducting a two minute check-in to confirm that meals are to guests' satisfaction
Clearing guests' tables when meals are finished and asking specifically if they would like a specific dessert (tiramisu) or a specific coffee (espresso)
Preparing guest checks and taking payments at the cash register or at the table
Serving customers above all else before doing any form of preparation/stocking
Professionally handling customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints, demonstrating care and attention to detail
Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting atmosphere throughout the dining area, barista station, pastry showcase, and beverage area.
Staying informed about menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings to assist guests with recommendations
Resolving issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortage
Restocking showcases as necessary to maintain an attractive presentation
Walking around to front of showcases to ensure visual presentation, signage, and cleanliness is up to standard
Consistent participation and adherence to opening and closing duties and daily/weekly cleaning schedules
Ensuring that each and every guest of the Italian Market is satisfied with the service/food and addressing concerns, requests, or issues either individually or by escalating
Having sound knowledge of products sold and inherent ingredients
Upholding standards of food handling and occupational health and safety legislation

Pay: $16.50 per hour
