For the Press, the incumbent works on projects involving a range of media, including generation and dissemination of metadata feeds, conversion of content from print to electronic formats, and digital asset management. Within the Library the incumbent works on a variety of digital projects and initiatives associated with scholarly communication including support for the institutional repository and other open access publishing platforms as adopted by the Library.The position handles all the interactions, processes, and troubleshooting involved in the use of the Press\'s current digital asset management system, CoreSource, as well as ONIX and other metadata feeds, digital distribution processes, and relevant vendor relationships.The Digital Projects Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and handling processes involved in customization, content management, organization, maintenance, and ongoing user support of Scholars Commons at Laurier, Laurier\'s institutional repository (IR). The incumbent participates in the ongoing evaluation of the IR platform, continually researching options for optimizing performance as new technologies are developed.
