Job Description

MyPEAR is seeking a proactive and creative Digital Marketing Specialist to drive our online brand and growth. This role will manage our full digital marketing stack -- SEO & content production, paid media, social media, web management, and design/strategy -- with a direct focus on our optical and eyecare ecommerce business. You'll help us grow traffic, conversions and brand engagement across Canada.

Duties



1.SEO & Content Production



Produce 5-7 highquality blog or content pieces per week, working closely with internal team members (optical/eyecare experts, product teams) to generate topics like contact lenses, eye health, dry?eye, eyewear trends. Carry out onpage SEO: optimize metadata (titles, meta descriptions), header structures (H1, H2...), internal linking across the MyPEAR site, and keyword placement in content. Manage offpage SEO: linkbuilding outreach (to relevant eyecare blogs, optical directories), citation cleanup (ensuring business listings are accurate), and monitor performance via Google Search Console. Ensure proper product tagging and SEO readiness in the ecommerce platform (WooCommerce or Shopify) used by MyPEAR -- e.g., tagging products for search visibility and indexing. Track and analyze organic performance (traffic, rankings, conversions) and identify new keyword/content

2.Paid Media & Social Media Management



Manage and optimize paid campaigns in Google Ads (Search & Shopping) and Meta Ads Manager (Facebook/Instagram) with a daily budget of $10?-?$50 Continuously test ad copy, creatives, targeting (audiences, location Canada, demographics) and optimize to maximize conversion from ads to site visits, product purchases, or lead captures. Plan, schedule and publish 3-5 social media posts each week across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn emphasising MyPEAR's products (contact lenses, dryeye kits), eyecare education, promotions and lifestyle visuals. Develop and manage UGC (UserGenerated Content) campaigns: encourage customers to share their MyPEAR experiences (e.g., wearing lenses, dryeye relief) and repurpose those assets for social or paid campaigns. Report on key metrics: ad spend, CPC, CPA, ROAS, social reach, engagement, follower growth and conversions from social

3. Design & Strategy



Maintain and oversee the content calendar, aligning blog posts, social posts, campaigns and seasonal promotions with target keywords, ecommerce product launches and business goals. Create basic hero banners, promotional graphics and social media visuals (using tools such as Canva or Adobe?Creative?Suite) for campaigns, web banners and social posts. Ensure all visuals, content and messaging are onbrand, aligned with MyPEAR's identity (optical, eyecare, quality, Canadian ecommerce) and consistent across channels. Collaborate with product and sales teams to sync marketing efforts with new product launches, promotional events, seasonal campaigns (e.g., Dry Eye Awareness, Back to School eyewear).

4. Website & Performance Marketing



Manage website updates: refresh homepage banners, landing pages for campaigns or new product categories (e.g., dryeye kits). Use tagging, UTM parameters and tracking (via Google Analytics, MetaPixel) to ensure proper attribution of traffic/sales to campaigns. Monitor website performance (load times, mobile optimization, user flow) and liaise with developers if needed to improve user experience, conversion rates and checkout flow. Provide monthly performance reports summarizing SEO, paid media, social, content and website metrics; offer actionable recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2-3 years of hands on digital marketing experience -- ideally in retail ecommerce, optical/healthcare, or a small company environment. Proven experience in SEO (onpage & offpage), content production, Google Ads and Facebook/Instagram advertising. Familiarity with ecommerce platforms (WooCommerce or Shopify), and ability to manage product tagging and SEO within such platforms. Strong writing skills and content creation capability; ability to simplify eyecare topics and make them engaging. Basic graphic/design skills (Canva or Adobe?Creative?Suite) for creating banners and social visuals. Able to manage a content calendar and multiple workflows simultaneously in a smallteam environment. proven experience in LLM prompt engineering, implemented in own workflows

Nice to Have Skills



Experience with local SEO (if MyPEAR also services physical clinics or local marketing). Familiarity with email marketing (Mailchimp, Klaviyo) and CRM segmentation. Basic HTML/CSS familiarity for minor web edits. Experience working with influencers, ambassadors or community UGC in the optical/fashion space.
