We seek a like-minded Digital Marketing Project Manager who has a passion that fuels them to help bring our brand story to life. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, this individual will focus on digital marketing support, social media campaign execution and assist the entire Canadian Marketing department with digital projects. Administration support for the Monster Energy family of websites, digital community management and ownership of the Canadian content calendar will be essential job functions. Creativity, exceptional writing talent and a deep curiosity to learn are mandatory for this role.

Essential Job Functions:
Social/Website/Community Management

  • Administer and manage Monster Energy\xe2\x80\x99s family of websites / microsites.
  • Author and source content for publication on websites and social channels.
  • Assist with publication and distribution of organic and paid assets across social channels to ensure that Monster Energy is supported and actively represented online.
  • Use knowledge of digital culture and what\xe2\x80\x99s trending to provide social media campaign recommendations for Monster Energy\xe2\x80\x99s brands, ambassadors, and events.
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on ambassador/ influencer campaigns.
  • Moderate online conversations and act as the digital \xe2\x80\x9ceyes and ears\xe2\x80\x9d to continue to build an overall reputation that is aligned with company branding guidelines and policies.
  • Work with Customer Services team, where relevant, to deal with issues raised online.
  • Utilize familiarity with social media monitoring tools to proactively analyze and report on community feedback, sentiment, and social media data.
Management of Content Calendar
  • Assist in the development of a content plan and schedule for distribution via appropriate online channels.
  • Manage paid media campaign calendar to ensure a consistent flow of content that is aligned with key objectives and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Canadian and global team stakeholders to gather content, schedule content creation, manage approvals, and schedule content release.
  • Work with internal team to ensure that content meets quality standards and adheres to brand guidelines.
Position Requirements:
  • 2-3 years Digital Marketing experience.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business, and/or related fields.
  • Bilingual \xe2\x80\x93 English and French an asset.
  • Adept copywriting ability with strong understanding of advertising, marketing, editorial and digital writing conventions.
  • Knowledge of major social media networks including their design, technology, backend functionality, and users
  • Knowledge of current social media trends.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) for social media, digital media and websites.
  • Must be an actively engaged user on social media channels both established and emerging.
  • Comprehensive understanding of how social media impacts brands and delivers against business objectives.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, flex easily should project or priorities shift, and demonstrate excellent organizational skills including working under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently without sacrificing quality.
  • Ability to work well and communicate within a team and externally.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate graphic design experience: Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects a plus.
  • A passion for/knowledge of extreme sports, music and/or gaming industry is preferred.
