This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with the hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.
Your role
As Coordinator, Digital Marketing, you will report to the Senior Manager, Content Editorial Strategy and will work daily with the Senior Specialist, Digital Marketing. You will also collaborate with the entire Corporate Communications team as well as with network communications teams for both CBC and Radio-Canada. Your mandate is to strengthen CBC/Radio-Canada's relationship with Canadians and employees through our social communities and digital platforms (internal and external).
You will be responsible for contributing to the creation and implementation of digital content and campaigns, assisting with managing our online communities, identifying potential communications issues and opportunities, and coordinating live event broadcasts. You will also provide regular data performance reporting to inform decisions and be in charge of creating newsletters and editing video content to create 360 degrees promotional campaigns.
There is an expectation of initiative and creativity, as well as the requirement to demonstrate good judgement and be precise in execution.
More specifically, you will:Create and schedule content for CBC/Radio-Canada's digital & social communities that respect our editorial guidelines, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn, our intranet iO and newsletters.
Oversee the management of a digital editorial calendar.
Research, pitch, create and distribute communications material in support of various digital campaigns.
Moderate, engage and foster discussion with Canadians through CBC/Radio-Canada's digital channels in both official languages (community management).
Contribute to the creation of social media plans in support of corporate initiatives and projects.
Work with internal teams to adapt communications activities to different platforms and audiences.
Collect data, review analytics and prepare reports to measure impact.
Coordinate graphics requests, translations and approvals with internal teams.
Build newsletters to ensure 360 degrees promotion of content.
Regularly monitor social and digital channels to assess requirements for real-time marketing opportunities and to identify potential issues to flag.
Participate in a weekly editorial meeting.
Create paid social media campaigns or organise partnerships collaborations.
Work flexible hours, off hours coverage.
Location: Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto.
What you bring:University degree or certificate in communications, or more specifically digital and social media, or any other related field.
At least three (3) years' experience in communications, digital media, online marketing or public relations.
Active and highly skilled on multiple social media platforms and online communication tools such as X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Proficiency, understanding and a proven ability to create and market content for these channels is required.
Knowledge of Sprout Social or any online newsletter creators is an asset.
Excellent leadership skills and the ability to create sustainable relationships.
Keen interest in and ability to keep pace with evolving digital and social media trends.
Highly creative and proactive individual who is able to propose innovative ideas.
A solid understanding of social media, newsletter and web analytics.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate and work in both official languages (English and French).
