LOCATION: Corporate Services - Ingersoll Library

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Permanent Full-time

REPORTING TO: Branch Services Librarian

UNION AFFILIATION: Non-Union

WAGE RATE: $27.78/hr-$34.73/hr ($50,559.60-$63,208.60/annually)

POSITION SUMMARY: ••

Reporting to the Branch Services Librarian, the Library Technician - Digital Literacy & Local History provides technical support to the library and its users including Instruction on the use of digital devices, navigation of library website and e-resources, creation of digital content to improve public access to local history resources and serving customers of all ages and backgrounds. This includes those that may be living with a disability, addiction, mental illness, experiencing homelessness or have other complex needs.

All Oxford County Library (OCL) employees are responsible for supporting the Library's Mission, Vision and Values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-secondary education in Library and Information Technician studies or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical support in a library setting including all aspects of integrated library software, software applications, and online searching. Experience working in a public library system is an asset.
• Ability to demonstrate the required competencies for this position, in alignment with Oxford County's competency framework.
• Demonstrates proficiency with desktop and mobile devices including applicable peripherals and software applications.
• Demonstrated ability to deal with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
