This newly created role will report to the Senior Manager, Communications and be part of a high-performing Marketing and Communications team. The Digital Content Specialist will support the end-to-end content strategy for the goeasy, easyfinancial and easyhome brands. This role is responsible for the creation, implementation, and execution of goeasy\'s Academy and corporate social media content to elevate corporate reputation, build brand equity, educate, and engage our customers and drive business results. This is the perfect role for a rising communications star, as you will have an opportunity to work closely with goeasy\'s senior leaders and gain exposure to external communications, marketing, HR and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage content calendar, ensuring alignment with communication and marketing strategy across multiple business units
  • Position goeasy as an authority through rich storytelling, creative production, educational and promotional content for multiple digital channels to drive traffic and engagement
  • Work with key partners across a variety of departments (Operations, HR, IT, Marketing and more) to design, edit and deliver communications
  • Execute against content calendar, ensuring alignment with communication and marketing strategy across multiple business units
  • Write and produce a full range of enterprise level content including articles, blog posts, podcasts, e-books, vlogs, videos, presentation decks, info- graphics, scripts and other short and long form content for various uses including financial literacy, employer brand, corporate social responsibility, new product launches, etc. to drive traffic and engagement
  • Produce content, at times communicating complex or technical concepts in clear, concise, digestible pieces to drive goeasy\'s strong reputation in market as a leading Canadian non- prime lender
  • Own and manage all corporate social media feeds and communities including LinkedIn, YouTube, etc., including social media monitoring, listening and measurement
  • Collaborate with SEO leader to ensure social feeds and content are optimized. Build strong relationships with key influencers and partners to increase reach and mileage of content
  • Work in partnership with easyhome and easyfinancial marketing leads to ensure all internal and external facing content is on brand and aligned to overall marketing strategy and a complement to integrated marketing campaigns
  • Work in partnership with human resources and communications on employer brand related content and social media activities
  • Develop goeasy\'s Academy as a go-to resource, for customers and Canadians at large, for financial literacy support and resources
  • Write financial literacy support and resource articles and develop creative content for goeasy\'s Academy
  • Track, measure, and report results of content marketing and social media activities. Use data to inform future content and campaign strategies
  • Work in conjunction with third party agencies/ vendors or consultants as required
  • Other related ad hoc projects
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or certificate or equivalent work experience in a relevant field such as Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications
  • 1-4 years of experience working in Corporate Communications, social media, PR, or a related field
  • Experience in launching and/or managing a corporate intranet, ideally Unily or equivalent, including engaging employees with the content and each other
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable with multi-tasking and able to balance competing priorities and deadlines. Highly organized
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to transform communications into visual, engaging, and eye-catching creatives using basic document design knowledge and understanding
  • A creative problem-solver who is comfortable with a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and willingness to learn how to take your communications skillset to the next level inclusive of employee communications, PowerPoint decks, social media and more
  • Intermediate experience working with Microsoft products, specifically: Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro is an asset
  • Bilingual (English/French) is preferred
  • Familiarity with business use of social media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
  • Basic video editing skills (ie. iMovie)
We offer a flexible, hybrid work environment with a requirement to be in office 50% of the time. This role may work out of our Mississuaga Support Centre or our downtown g-lab at 221 Yonge St, Toronto.
