Position Summary
The
Digital & Communications Manager
is responsible for all Club communications across email, print, website, and social media channels. This role ensures that the Club's voice remains clear, warm, and consistent -- whether promoting events, publishing newsletters, or engaging online.
You'll work closely with the General Manager, Member Services, Sales and Events teams to ensure members are informed and engaged while preserving the Club's brand, discretion, and traditions.
Key Responsibilities
Member Communications
Write and distribute weekly and monthly member newsletters (email and print)
Draft timely updates, announcements, and operational notices
Maintain a consistent and polished tone across all communications
Digital Content & Website
Update and manage the Club's website (text, images, menus, notices)
Post timely updates about events, news, and services
Collaborate with external developers or tech support as needed
Social Media
Manage the Club's presence on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook
Create content that reflects Club life, highlights events, and supports recruitment
Maintain a tone that is professional, inviting, and aligned with Club values
Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages as appropriate
Ensure privacy and member confidentiality are always respected
Marketing & Promotions
Design and distribute event promotions (posters, email blasts, digital signage)
Support cross-promotion between Club amenities (e.g., dining, events, stays)
Create visuals or coordinate design support when needed
Internal Systems & Tools
Manage email tools (e.g. Mailchimp, Club-specific platforms)
Support onboarding for any member-facing platforms or apps
Maintain shared templates, brand assets, and content calendars
Brand & Content Stewardship
Ensure all content is accurate, timely, and aligned with Club brand standards
Edit/proofread all communications for clarity, professionalism, and tone
Help evolve the Club's communications style while respecting tradition
Qualifications & Experience
Required
3-5 years in communications, digital marketing, or content management
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Proficiency with website CMS (e.g. WordPress, Squarespace)
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp)
Experience managing and posting to social media platforms
Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred
Experience in hospitality, membership-based, or private club settings
Visual design skills (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
Familiarity with brand management and internal communications best practices
Comfortable balancing tradition with a modern voice

Term:
September - December 2025, may become a permanent role
Hours:
Full-time, typically Monday-Friday (occasional evenings/weekends around events)
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience
