Digital Brand Copywriter (English), Garage & Dynamite

Reporting to the Brand leads for Garage and Dynamite, the Brand Copywriter is responsible for writing English copy for the brands\xe2\x80\x99 digital channels. They must create copy that is continually optimized to deliver on business goals and that reflects the existing tone of voice of each brand.

Key responsibilities:

• Write all copy related to the Brands\xe2\x80\x99 loyalty and personalization programs, including email, SMS, website and app;
• Complete technical briefs for all copy, including site links, fine print, and segmentation directives;
• Assist the Brand Copywriters with editorial email, web and SMS copy;
• Consistently apply writing standards reflective of the brands\xe2\x80\x99 voice and SEO best- practices;
• Coordinate with the internal Translation department to secure French translation;
• Ensure alignment with the editorial calendar, applying updates to the copy of impacted channels in a timely manner;
• Participate in editorial and content approval meetings led by the marketing team;
• Develop effective relationships and partnerships with the marketing, product, creative, ecommerce and CRM teams, gaining feedback and approvals on digital content in a timely manner to meet publishing deadlines;
• Leverage email, SMS and web data to optimize open, click-through and conversion rates, and delivery of other business goals;
• Perform ongoing competitive, pop culture and linguistic trend research.

To qualify for this role, you must have...

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field;
• 2+ years of related work experience;
• Retail and/or fashion experience an asset;
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; intermediate understanding of written and verbal communication in French an asset
• Strong understanding of content optimization and best practices;
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite;Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
