Position Overview:



Reporting to the Digital Director, the Digital Advisor is responsible for leading strategic initiatives to advance the organization's digital

maturity and capabilities. This role identifies emerging digital opportunities and collaborates with the Director to shape the Division's

vision, strategy, and objectives, also acting as a bridge between the Director and the Digital leadership team. Supporting the

development and execution of digital strategies aligned to corporate goals, this role embeds best practices from enterprise

architecture, governance, data management, product management, and digital enablement to ensure sustainable progress. Given

the nature of the role, a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality is required in all interactions on behalf of the Director.



Key to success in this role is researching and proposing enterprise-level digital strategies and the ability to build cross-functional

relationships, advance digital initiatives, and advise others in digital strategies. Success also comes from the ability to vision, design,

and deploy new capabilities, ensuring alignment to the Digital Director's vision. This role demands strong business acumen and

in-depth knowledge of Manitoba Hydro's systems, data, and processes as well as someone who possesses technical expertise in

areas such as Data & Analytics, Digital Workplace, Product Management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Artificial

Intelligence (AI).


Responsibilities:


Lead the development and implementation of enterprise digital strategies that evolve service delivery and unlock business

value through emerging technologies such as Data & Analytics, GIS/Geospatial, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Foster the design and adoption of enterprise digital frameworks that empower leadership and employees to make informed

decisions using data and technology.
Provide strategic advice, stewardship, governance, and project management support to the Digital Director in pursuit of

Enterprise, Business Unit, and Divisional goals.
Support the achievement of Business Unit objectives and timelines by proactively identifying risks and integration challenges

and advising the Director accordingly.
Maintain an evergreen view of the Digital Division's portfolio of work to support prioritization, resource planning, and strategic

alignment.
Develop and sustain strong working relationships with Digital Division leaders and teams to collaboratively assess demand

relative to resource capacity and organizational priorities.
Support the development and reporting of key financial and performance indicators, driving a culture of continuous

improvement and data-informed decision-making.
Promote the value and impact of digital initiatives through storytelling, performance reporting, and the creation of success

narratives that demonstrate business outcomes.
Prepare speaking notes, reports, presentations, and briefings for the Digital Director to support strategic communications and

decision-making.
Ensure consistent and purpose-driven stakeholder engagement and communications to mitigate risks associated with

information gaps or misalignment.

Coordinate responses to internal and external audits and assessments related to digital initiatives and governance. Collaborate with Corporate Communications to develop and execute a Digital communications plan that informs and engages

internal and external audiences.

Liaise with external utilities, agencies, and government partners to build relationships, exchange best practices, and support

strategic collaboration.

Represent the Director at meetings and committees as required, ensuring alignment and continuity of strategic direction.

Qualifications:


Completion of a four-year degree program from an institute of recognized standing in a related discipline (business,

technology) plus six years directly related experience,

OR
Completion of a two-year diploma from an institute of recognized standing in a related discipline (business, technology)

plus eight years directly related experience,

OR
an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Knowledge of trends and developments in the fields of Digital Workplace, Automation, AI, GIS, and Data and Analytics. Demonstrated ability to develop and evaluate strategies, frameworks, initiatives, and programs using business case analysis


and documentation, including Organizational Change Management (OCM) capabilities to assist with successful buy-in and

implementation.


Demonstrated ability to successfully contribute to complex initiatives, projects, and teams across a variety of different

business areas.
Industry-specific knowledge of data and digital applications architecture, security protocols, policies, and regulations, and

data, information, and records management would be an asset.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with

staff throughout the enterprise.
Strong commitment to understanding and supporting the needs of Manitoba Hydro's customers and its employees and

identifying opportunities to bring value through the application of digital tools and solutions to address them.
Strong analytical and reasoning skills; a problem solver who is comfortable being hands-on or facilitating and implementing

process improvement initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups.
Certification in a change management framework such as PROSCI is considered an asset. Lean/Six Sigma designation is considered an asset. Excellent presentation skills especially with executive and senior leadership audiences. Demonstrated experience providing support for Director-level requirements in strategic planning, divisional representation,


managing relationships, and communication plan development.


Salary Range



Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $51.34-$70.34 Hourly,

$98,380.88-$134,784.78 Annually.
