Job Description

Critical Trauma Therapy is currently seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our multi-disciplinary team. This exciting opportunity will involve the delivery of interdisciplinary education programs at our St. Catharine's Hospital site, as well as 1:1 nutritional counselling and assessment. We assist individuals of all ages who are struggling to manage their dietary needs.

The appropriate candidate will be flexible in covering an assigned region and treating clients in a hybrid manner of virtual, in-clinic, and in-community.

As a member of this team, you will collaborate with medical specialists, social workers, psychotherapists, and physiotherapists.

You'll be assisting individuals who have various health conditions such as sleep disturbances, injuries arising from motor vehicle accidents, issues related to weight gain/loss, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, fatigue, bowel issues, digestive issues, diabetes, cancer etc.

Role and Responsibilities:



Conduct assessments and design appropriate treatment plans based on client-centered, SMART goals
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders in-clinic, virtually, and in the community.

Create evidenced-based nutritional care plans including community grocery shopping, in-home meal preparation, and shopping for items to assist with healthy eating. Monitor the client's progress/ change in nutritional status and complete reassessments and progress reports as needed. Be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team!

Qualifications and Requirements



Master's and/or Bachelors Degree in Food and Nutrition, or related field. Be an active member in good standing of the College of Dietitians of Ontario. Retain professional liability insurance. Minimum of two years of community-based therapy experience (preferred) Be able to drive, hold a current, valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle in good operating condition. Willing to travel as a community-based Registered Dietitian (local to geographical region).
