As a Dietitian I reporting to the Manager Nutrition Services, South Zone, you would be responsible for nutrition assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans for adults and pediatric outpatients, including pediatric feeding difficulties and pediatric and adult eating disorders based out of the Melcor Center in Lethbridge. As a Dietitian I, you may also facilitate virtual and face to face group nutrition sessions (weight management, irritable bowel syndrome, heart health) using nutrition counselling for behaviour change as appropriate to achieve nutrition and health outcomes.Description:As a Dietitian I, you may provide nutrition expertise to patients (clients, residents) in various AHS facilities and community settings to achieve nutrition and health outcomes. You may be responsible for nutrition assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans. You may plan and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients/groups in facilities or community settings. Nutrition education is provided to students and other healthcare professionals to support delivery of evidence based nutrition information.

Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA). Additional Required Qualifications:As Required. Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 1 year experience in outpatient nutrition counselling. Experience with pediatric nutrition. Experience with weight management. Experience in eating disorders. Knowledge and experience with nutrition counselling for behaviour change. Demonstrated experience in group facilitation.
