Position Summary
We are currently seeking a
Registered Dietitian
to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your expertise will directly contribute to improving patient outcomes. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, compassionate, and passionate about promoting wellness through food and nutrition.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, including review of medical history, dietary intake, and lifestyle factors
Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans and meal strategies
Provide evidence-based counselling for chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, obesity, GI disorders)
Guide clients toward goals like weight management, increased energy, and optimal nutrient intake
Collaborate closely with physiotherapists, physicians, occupational therapists, naturopaths, and other healthcare professionals
Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting plans as necessary
Maintain accurate and timely documentation aligned with professional and clinic standards
Deliver group education sessions, workshops, or seminars when needed
Stay informed on the latest research and trends in dietetics and nutrition
Qualifications
Registered Dietitian (RD) in good standing with the
College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO)
(required)* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
Strong understanding of clinical nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, and community-based care
Ability to interpret lab results and apply findings to nutritional strategies
Excellent verbal, written, and motivational communication skills
Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based setting
Strong organizational and time management capabilities
Experience
Minimum
1 year of clinical or community experience
preferred
New graduates registered with the CDO
