WestCana is seeking a

Dietary Aide

to join our food services team in West Kelowna. This role supports the delivery of safe, nutritious, and resident-focused meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with meal service to residents, including tray delivery, dining room service, and clean-up Follow posted menus, portion sizes, and diet requirements Support modified diets, texture-modified meals, and allergy-aware service Wash dishes, pots, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation standards Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and food service equipment Record required temperatures and complete cleaning logs as assigned Follow

Food Safe

, Interior Health, and company policies Work respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams Support a positive, resident-centered dining experience

Qualifications & Requirements

Previous experience in food service or healthcare setting an asset

Food Safe Level 1

required (or willingness to obtain) Understanding of special diets an asset Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Strong attention to detail and time-management skills Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector required
