Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents in our retirement home setting. Your contributions will ensure that our residents receive nutritious and appealing meals while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.

Duties

Assist in meal preparation and cooking according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils, and dining spaces. Follow food handling procedures to ensure the safety and quality of all food served. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus that meet the dietary needs of residents. Support inventory management by assisting with food storage and organization. Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident needs and preferences regarding meals. Participate in training sessions related to food safety, sanitation, and dietary regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in retirement living settings is preferred. Background in the food industry with skills in food preparation, cooking, and food service is essential. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is required. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal preparation and service tasks. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on resident satisfaction.
