We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service to our residents. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that meals are prepared, served, and presented in a manner that meets the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. This position requires a strong commitment to food safety and sanitation practices while delivering outstanding customer service.

Duties

Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all food is prepared according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner, maintaining a positive dining experience. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dining rooms, and food service equipment. Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain safety standards and prevent contamination. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus that meet nutritional requirements for assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings. Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Support the kitchen team with cleaning duties, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Provide excellent customer service by responding to resident inquiries regarding meal options and dietary restrictions.

Experience

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital environments is preferred. Background in the food industry with skills in food preparation and cooking is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff members. Prior experience in serving meals or working within a kitchen setting is beneficial.
