Temporary full time (maternity leave coverage):

6L:30AM-2:30PM

Week 1: Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun

Week 2: Mon, Thus, Fri

Week 3: Mon, Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun

Week 4: Wed, Thurs, Fri

Position Overview:

The Dietary Aide is accountable for the preparation, service and clean up of food items for meal and snack service at Shalom Manor and Gardens, in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations, corporate policies and procedures and the collective agreement.

Internal Processes:

Prepare and service meals and snacks that meet all residents' nutritional needs according to their plan of care, including therapeutic diets and textures.

Maintain accurate production totals and serving lists for all residents' needs.

Clean and sanitize all equipment and surfaces.

Prepare food for catering functions as required.

Qualifications Required:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (grade 12); or equivalent

Willing to obtain current Safe Food Handlers Certification

Willing to obtain Food Service Worker Certificate according to current legislation

1-3 years of experience in food service preferred

Demonstrated leadership experience

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Previous experience working with the elderly and the ability to communicate in Dutch as well as English are definite assets
