The Dietary Aide will be responsible for but not limited to:
Preparation and assembly of patient meal trays
Dishwashing of patient meal trays, pots & pans, food service wares & equipment
Supporting Food Services quality improvement initiatives
Communicating with Supervisor regarding discrepancies
Qualifications/Skills:
One year of practical experience in food service environment - required
Food Handlers Certification (Public Health) - required
WHMIS training - required
Demonstrate reliable work attendance record - required
Service and detail oriented
Able to stand, walk and bend without restrictions
Able to lift floor to waist up to 20lbs
Able to push/ pull food service equipment, smallwares up to 30lbs
Able to read, write and speak English
Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Requiring minimal supervision
Follow established standards for food handling & preparation
Maintain established sanitation and safety standards in the care and cleaning of food service dishes and equipment
Follow all new and existing department policies and procedures
* Ability to work effectively in a strong team environment
