Adecco is currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Dietary Aide - Food Service to join our client's supportive healthcare team in Oshawa, ON. In this role, you will assist with meal preparation, serve residents, and maintain safe and hygienic food service standards. • Pay rate: $26-$28/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Perform inventory checks and ensure adequate food and supply levels.
• Store and rotate supplies appropriately to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Assist with meal planning, ingredient control, and preparation of food items.
• Serve meals to residents, accommodating all diet types and textures.
• Prepare food and beverages for outpatients and visitors as required.
• Operate retherm units and assist cooks with food preparation, panning, and portioning.
• Set up and clean kitchen and dining areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Verify, document, and report discrepancies in temperatures for food, fridges, freezers, and dishwashing equipment.

Requirements:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
• Have partial high school or equivalent, and a Food Service Worker Certificate (or equivalent experience).
• Hold a valid Food Handler's Certificate (within 5 years).
• Have previous healthcare food service experience (preferred).
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe food practices and strong communication skills.
• Be physically able to perform duties.
• Provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (?2 months), TB screening per FLTC Act, proof of education/qualifications, and comply with Mask Fit Testing.
