We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals that cater to their dietary needs and preferences. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, food safety, and teamwork within a kitchen environment.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety standards. Deliver meals to residents in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service. Ensure proper handling and storage of food items to prevent contamination. Collaborate with nursing staff to understand residents' dietary restrictions and preferences. Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food supplies and reporting needs to supervisors. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working in the kitchen environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry or assisted living environments is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and family members. Time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A passion for providing quality care through nutrition is highly valued. Must be able to follow instructions accurately and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.40 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 24 per week
