We are seeking a highly skilled Die Cast operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing die casting processes to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering principles, with proficiency in various technical tools and software. The Die Cast operator will play a critical role in ensuring efficient production, quality standards, and continuous improvement within our facility.
Duties
Design and develop die casting molds using CAD software such as SolidWorks, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
Program and operate CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming tools to produce die components.
Utilize Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate and optimize manufacturing processes.
Oversee the setup and operation of press brake machines, welding equipment, and other machinery involved in die casting production.
Conduct blueprint reading to interpret technical drawings and specifications for mold fabrication and assembly.
Perform machining operations using hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Manage warehouse inventory related to die casting materials, tools, and spare parts; assist with packaging finished products for shipment.
Implement quality control procedures to monitor product integrity, identify defects, and recommend process improvements.
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols including forklift operation when necessary.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on assembly processes and continuous process improvements.
Experience
Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on die casting or metal machining processes.
Strong knowledge of CAD design (SolidWorks), and manufacturing equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and welding tools.
Familiarity with Fanuc controls, PLC systems, blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and quality control standards.
Hands-on experience with warehouse operations including inventory management and packaging procedures.
Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, basic math for measurements, and understanding of machining tolerances.
Prior experience in factory or warehouse settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific machinery or processes as needed.
