Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our team at Raydius Medical's new Whitecourt location, opening November 2025. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams on patients in a professional and compassionate manner. You will be working with a team of healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care and ensure the accuracy of diagnostic results.

Responsibilities

Perform ultrasound examinations on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to established protocols. Analyze images and data to ensure high-quality diagnostic results and provide accurate reports to healthcare professionals Explain procedures and results to patients in a clear and compassionate manner. Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment plans. Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions or needed repairs to appropriate personnel. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care. Provide compassionate care to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring comfort during procedures.

Requirements

Successful completion of an accredited Sonography program Registered or eligible for registration with Sonography Canada. The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is optional Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to ultrasound procedures Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in the use of ultrasound equipment and related software Must be legally eligible to work in Canada If you are a highly motivated and dedicated Sonographer looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, we encourage you to apply for this position.
